Key recommendations included: traffic calming, streetscape redevelopment, additional parking, conversion of on-street parallel parking to angled parking in specific locations, enhancing the historic courthouse green, a new park and market, burying overhead utilities, and extending the existing greenway system.

A set of recommendations were also provided for organization.

The recommendations   were economic restructuring, and marketing and promotion, including establishing an entity to manage the new farmers/craft market. Since the plan’s adoption, great strides have been made, including the establishment of a highly-successful farmers market, the construction of a park with a stage pavilion, and the extension of the existing greenway system connecting to downtown.
